Ancelotti: "I don’t enjoy Bayern games"

Former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has admitted he doesn't enjoy Bayern Munich's games due to the lack of competition provided by their opponents, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia).

After leaving Los Blancos in the summer, Ancelotti is currently without a club. He has been linked with a move to Bavaria next summer, with his negotiator having reportedly held initial talks with Bayern Munich (as per Sport Bild).

"Bayern Munich will win the Bundesliga with their hands still in their pockets. I must admit I don't enjoy Bayern's games, as there's so little competition.

"Pep Guardiola is the best Coach out there today, though. He teaches football, makes himself understood and wins."

Ancelotti has managed in all of Europe's top five leagues apart from Germany. His list of clubs is impressive: Reggiana, Parma, Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid, and he has won titles in all four countries he has managed in.

The only country he has managed in and not won the league crown in is Spain; during his two years at Real Madrid he was pipped by Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. He did, however, secure the Champions League for the club - becoming only the second manager alongside Bob Paisley to win the competition three times.

His comments about Bayern hold some truth: they have won their last two titles by 19 and 10 points respectively. They currently lead the rest of the pack by 10 points this time around.

The chief executive of Bayern, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has previously spoken of his hope that Guardiola will extend his contract beyond this season (as per DPA news agency, via the Mirror).
