Rochdale 0 - 0 Oldham Athletic AFC: Honours even in bore draw derby between Rochdale and Oldham

Rochdale and Oldham shared the spoils as the derby ended goalless at Spotland.
It was the third successive 0-0 draw for the home side, who had the better of the few openings available.
There were few chances of note in an uneventful first half, with the best opportunity created - and wasted - by the home side in the 16th minute when Matt Lund's pass inside full-back Carl Winchester set Andy Cannon free down the right and his square pass across the face of goal was side-footed over the crossbar from five yards by Lewis Alessandra.
Oldham's best effort came from James Wilson, who headed Mike Jones' free-kick wide in the 34th minute.
Eight minutes from the interval Ian Henderson headed Jamie Allen's corner goalward but Latics goalkeeper David Cornell diverted the attempt onto the post.
If the first half saw precious little goalmouth action, the second period featured even less. The only time either goalkeeper was seriously worked after the break came in the 71st minute when Cornell kept out Nathaniel Mendez-Laing's attempt.
