Greenock Morton vs Alloa Athletic

Posted Friday, October 23, 2015 by PA

Morton will be without striker Alex Samuel as they look to end a run of four consecutive defeats at home to Alloa.

Samuel suffered concussion in last Saturday's defeat at Falkirk and will miss out along with Peter MacDonald and Frank McKeown, while Ricki Lamie is a doubt.

Manager Jim Duffy said: "We lost 4-0 to Rangers at the start of this run and have then gone down by the one goal three games running. There have been lapses of concentration in each match that have hit us hard and we need to cut them out of our game."

Alloa will again be without Dougie Hill who has a knee injury but the Wasps are hopeful that on-loan Celtic midfielder Connor McManus will be available after illness.

Manager Danny Lennon said: "Morton have had a tough run against four of the top five sides and they will look upon this game as a chance to get winning again.

However if we play like we did against Raith Rovers last weekend and add more of a cutting edge we can pick up the three points."
