Stranraer vs Cowdenbeath - Brian Reid demands greater cutting edge from Stranraer

Stranraer manager Brian Reid has called for his side to be more clinical in front of goal ahead of Cowdenbeath's visit.

Craig Malcolm (knee) is out but Scott Robertson is fit enough to play from the start and David Barron is included in Reid's squad for the first time this season.

Reid said: "The one big failing in our game is that we are struggling to put the ball in the net and it is not just the strikers, midfielders are not chipping in and defenders are not getting on the end of things at set-pieces.

"We are creating chances but we need to ensure we find the net to see off Cowdenbeath."

The visitors are again without captain John Armstrong (hamstring) while Jack Beaumont (foot) and Lewis Milne (knee) fail to make the trip to Stair Park as well.

Cowdenbeath player-manager Colin Nish said: "Something has to give in this game as we have been poor away from home and Stranraer have not won many at home.

"Hopefully we can end that disappointing run.

"We are still a bit sore after losing a two-goal lead to Stenhousemuir last weekend, so a win would be terrific for the confidence of the squad."
