Brechin City vs Albion Rovers FC - Brechin wait on Robert Thomson fitness test for Albion Rovers visit

Bottom-placed Brechin will be at full strength for the visit of Albion Rovers if striker Robert Thomson comes through a lunchtime fitness test unscathed.

Player-manager Darren Dods is looking for his side to improve in the final third of the pitch as Brechin seek to move off the foot of the Ladbrokes League One table.

"We went a goal behind to Airdrie last weekend and could not find a way to get level with the defeat sending us bottom again," Dods said.

"Albion Rovers are a side who like to sit in and hit you on the break, so we have to find a way of scoring and getting them to open up a bit."

Albion's player-manager Darren Young returns after serving a one-game suspension last weekend in the 1-0 win over Peterhead with Callum McRobbie the only injury doubt.

Young said: "We have done really well to climb into fourth place, however we recognise that it is still early days in the season.

"We have to continue doing what we have been doing to get us good results for a long time yet.

"Brechin will be disappointed at having slipped back in recent weeks so we will be facing a very determined side. If we play like we can we can pick up a second win of the season over Brechin."
