Bradford AFC vs Wigan Athletic - Steven Davies misses Bradford's clash with Wigan and another three months

Bradford will be without Steven Davies for the home game against Wigan after the striker was ruled out for up to three months with a knee injury.

Davies was forced out of the midweek home win against Bury and it has since been confirmed he has sustained medial ligament damage.

Fellow forward Billy Clarke and midfielder Josh Morris recently returned to training following serious knee injuries of their own and remain sidelined, while winger Filipe Morais is out for the season after rupturing knee ligaments during training in July.

James Hanson is expected to return to the starting line-up in Davies' absence with boss Phil Parkinson likely to keep other changes to a minimum after back-to-back wins.

Wigan manager Gary Caldwell can select from an embarrassment of riches up front.

Craig Davies (hamstring) returned for the 3-2 win over Peterborough as a substitute while Grant Holt (knee) made his fourth straight appearance as a replacement.

Latics have scored 10 times in their past three games, though, and Caldwell may elect to continue with Will Grigg, Yanic Wildschut and Michael Jacobs as his attacking options.,

Defender Kevin McNaughton (knee) is the only player missing for one of the biggest squads in the division.
