Chesterfield vs Scunthorpe United - Ian Evatt ban forces Chesterfield shake-up

Ian Evatt's suspension means Chesterfield boss Dean Saunders will have to change a winning team against Scunthorpe.

The 33-year-old received his fifth yellow card of the season during the 3-0 home win over Southend in midweek, when Saunders stuck with the same side that started the win at Walsall. Sam Hird is likely to replace Evatt in central defence.

Rai Simons has been struggling with a heel problem recently but the teenage forward is now fully fit again and pushing for a recall.

Gboly Ariyibi and Liam O'Neil are also options for Saunders but aside from replacing Evatt, the Welshman is expected to keep any changes elsewhere to a minimum as he looks to maintain the Spireites' winning run.

Scunthorpe are once again set to name an unchanged team as they look to bounce back from their midweek loss at leaders Gillingham.

A late winner from Harry Lennon saw the Iron's three-match winning run come to an end but boss Mark Robins will aim to keep faith in his improving side.

One possible option for Robins is striker Luke Williams who returned from injury to play in the last 20 minutes of the Priestfield Stadium clash.

Niall Canavan and Jamie Ness remain some way from match fitness while striker Darius Henderson has also returned to training following injury.
