Hull City vs Birmingham - Curtis Davies' calf injury keeps him out of Hull's clash

Hull defender Curtis Davies will miss the visit of high-flying Birmingham after injuring his calf on Tuesday night.

Davies limped out of the 3-0 win over Ipswich and was replaced by Alex Bruce, who scored his first goal for the Tigers and is first in line to deputise for the next three weeks.

Hull's impressive display last time out means Tom Huddlestone, Mo Diame and Shaun Maloney all face a battle to progress from the bench.

Adama Diomande (groin) and Robert Snodgrass (knee) remain unavailable.

Birmingham will give David Cotterill until the last minute to prove his fitness.

The winger has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury and boss Gary Rowett will wait to see if he will recover in time to face Hull.

David Davis should return though after missing Tuesday's 1-0 win at Bolton, which sent Blues second in the Sky Bet Championship, through illness.

Neal Eardley is also available after recovering from a dislocated shoulder he suffered earlier in the season.
