Blackburn Rovers vs Burnley - Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer sweating over injured few

Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer is hopeful his injury list will clear for the Saturday lunchtime kick-off with rivals Burnley at Ewood Park.

Full-back Adam Henley returns from suspension for the heated east Lancashire derby and Bowyer expects at least another two players to come back into the reckoning after being without seven on Wednesday night.

Craig Conway (bruised foot) and Matt Kilgallon (back) should be available again but Jason Lowe (foot) and Chris Brown (knee) are long-term absentees and Fode Koita (hamstring) and Danny Guthrie (thigh) could miss out once more too.

Grant Hanley and Shane Duffy avoided their fifth cautions of the season in week and therefore escaped a suspension, and although both Ben Marshall (dead leg) and Hope Akpan (groin) had to come off, it is hoped they should be fine as well.

Burnley are keeping their fingers crossed over George Boyd.

The Clarets forward rolled his ankle against Bolton and was unable to feature at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, but manager Sean Dyche, who has never lost an east Lancashire derby, is hopeful he can come through training unscathed on Friday.

Dean Marney is expected to come back into Dyche's thinking from next week while fellow cruciate knee-injury victim Kevin Long is also close to a comeback.

Their returns will just leave Lukas Jutkiewicz and Ashley Barnes (both knee) on the sidelines along with young striker Jason Gilchrist (ankle).
