Man Utd legend urges Wayne Rooney to reinvent himself as he approaches special milestone

PAUL SCHOLES thinks Wayne Rooney has to reinvent himself if he wants to continue to be an influential figure for Manchester United.
Rooney will turn 30 this weekend and has been an excellent servant for the Red Devils.
The England striker is closing in on becoming United's all-time record goalscorer.
But Scholes doesn't think Rooney can be all the action hero he once was and has to learn to 'pick his moments'.
"Players always have to change and Rooney's come to 30 now and its a time when he won't be here, there and everywhere like he would like to be,' Scholes told BT Sport as quoted by the Daily Mail.
"When we had (Cristiano) Ronaldo in the team he was sacrificed to the left or to the right and that is what Wayne is, he is a complete team player.
"He will do whatever he can for the team and his goalscoring record is amazing.

Paul Scholes (pictured) thinks Wayne Rooney will have to tailor his game accordingly
"But he can't go on forever, eventually you do slow down and you have to pick your moments.
"But there is no doubt he is still a big threat in this team and he is a player that has to play."
