Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will be looking for his side to start building some momentum in their Champions League Group G match against Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday.

Dynamo Kyiv v Chelsea

Chelsea moved up to 11th place in the Premier League standings with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday following a dreadful start to the season, which saw them only one place above the relegation zone before the match kicked off.

It was just their third victory in nine league games so far this season and they have already lost more than they did in the entire 2014/15 campaign.

Although unspectacular, their victory over Villa was solid and they never looked in danger of dropping points, and it was a welcome performance for the beleaguered Blues fans.

However, it will all be for naught if Chelsea are unable to back it up with another good outing in Kyiv on Tuesday night. Having already lost to Mourinho's former team, Porto, in the previous round of Champions League fixtures, another failure in Ukraine will place an immense amount of pressure on the squad and their chances of qualifying for the next round.

High-flying Dynamo Kyiv go into the match unbeaten, on top of Group G, and will be able to play with a confidence that could cause problems for their English opponents.

Head coach Serhiy Rebrov is sweating over the availability of Serhiy Rybalka, who faces a late fitness test on a muscle injury he suffered while on international duty with Ukraine last week.

Thibaut Courtois and Branislav Ivanovic remain long-term injury concerns for Chelsea and will definitely miss out, with Cesar Azpilicueta expected to once again fill in at right-back.
