Chesterfield vs Southend United - As you were Chesterfield as they host Southend

Posted Tuesday, October 20, 2015 by PA

Chesterfield could be unchanged against Southend as they try to record successive wins for the first time this season.

A few minor bumps and bruises from the 2-1 victory at Walsall aside, Dean Saunders' team have no new injury problems and the same starting XI might be sent out again.

Although the likes of Liam O'Neil, Rai Simons and Gboly Ariyibi may come under consideration should the Blues boss wish to tweak things.

Long-term injury victim Angel Martinez (knee) and striker Byron Harrison remain in the treatment room.

Southend have midfielder Gary Deegan available again as he returns from suspension.

Kevan Hurst and Stephen McLaughlin were both on the bench for Saturday's win over Barnsley after recovering from injury and could start at the Proact Stadium.

Defender Adam Barrett and striker Noel Hunt are struggling, however, with hamstring and foot problems respectively.

The Shrimpers have climbed to seventh in the table and are looking for their sixth win in seven league matches.
