York City vs Dagenham and Redbridge - York boss Russ Wilcox could go on the attack

York boss Russ Wilcox could be tempted to name a more attacking line-up for his side's League Two clash with Dagenham at Bootham Crescent.

The struggling Minstermen languish near the foot of the table after Saturday's defeat at Barnet and are likely to be without midfielder Russ Penn, who limped out of that game with an ankle injury.

Wilcox is set to replace Penn with a striker and Josh Carson and on-loan Rhys Turner will be hoping to earn a return to the starting line-up.

Reece Thompson could be available after a recent virus but Luke Summerfield and Jake Hyde are still some weeks away from returning to match fitness.

Dagenham manager Wayne Burnett is likely to make changes to his team following Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Hartlepool.

His team last won in the league on September 5, but the manager remains without Joe Widdowson (thigh), Clevid Dikamona (broken hand), Zavon Hines and Ayo Obilaye (both knee) and Matt Richards (Achilles).

Joss Labadie is in contention, having recently returned from a six-month suspension for biting an opponent.

Matt McClure is also pushing for a return to the starting XI, possibly at the expense of Jamie Cureton, as is Andre Boucard, having returned from international duty too late to face Hartlepool.
