Hartlepool United FC vs Barnet - Pools may opt to stick with winning formula

Hartlepool boss Ronnie Moore could stick with the men who ended the club's run of three successive League Two defeats at Dagenham when Barnet head to Victoria Park.

Moore threw loan signings Luke Hendrie and Magnus Okuonghae straight into the starting line-up alongside keeper Trevor Carson and full-back Dan Jones as he made four changes to his back five and was rewarded with a 1-0 win.

Midfielder Brad Walker also got the nod, while a third loanee, Jason Banton, played his part from the bench.

Jones and Rakish Bingham were substituted, but largely as a result of fatigue and Moore is hopeful they will be available as Pools attempt to secure a first home win since August.

Barnet manager Martin Allen is expected to name the same team that defeated York 3-1 on Saturday.

That result ended a run of three straight defeats and, although Luke Gambin came off with a knock, he is expected to be passed fit.

Bira Dembele is also again available having served his suspension, but is unlikely to make the starting XI.

Kevin Lisbie, who was left out of the squad to face York, could be involved from the bench as he recovers his fitness following a hamstring injury.
