Bordeaux 0 - 0 Montpellier : Stalemate for Bordeaux and Montpellier

Bordeaux suffered frustration as Montpellier repelled a string of chances to a take a point from a goalless draw that did little to help either side's position in Ligue 1.

Bordeaux, six points better off than their visitors through still down in 14th place, dominated the match but could not find a way to beat Laurent Pionnier.

In truth, the goalkeeper had little to do as his defenders got in a series of blocks to deny Nicolas Maurice-Belay, Adam Ounas and Henri Saivet, and when they did get a clean look, they too often missed the target.

Montpellier enjoyed a brief spell on the front foot themselves before the break, but were just as wasteful in front of goal.
