Hellas Verona 1 - 1 Udinese : Udinese leave it late to take point

Posted Monday, October 19, 2015 by PA

Udinese substitute Cyril Thereau scored with an equaliser six minutes from time to deny hosts Hellas Verona their first Serie A win of the campaign on Sunday.

Hellas, after Udinese's Molla Wague brought down Luca Siligardi in the area, took a 41st minute lead when Giampaolo Pazzini converted the penalty.

The home side had just one more shot on goal in the match, a Jacopo Sala strike in the 57th minute that was saved by Udinese goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis.

The Friuli club got back on level terms when Hellas goalkeeper Rafael failed to get a touch on Bruno Fernandes' cross and Thereau headed the ball into the back of the net.
