Basement boys Bologna slumped to their seventh defeat in eight Serie A games this season as they lost 1- 0 at home to Palermo.
Franco Vazquez scored the only goal of the game in the 23rd minute, taking a touch to control Oscar Hiljemark's pass inside from the left of the area before poking his finish beyond goalkeeper Antonio Mirante.
Defeat left the hosts rooted to the foot of the standings with just three points to their name, while Palermo, who bounced back from four straight losses, find themselves in mid-table.
