Real Madrid easily dispatched Levante 3-0 at the Bernabeu on Saturday thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo and Jese.
The first chance of the match fell to the visitors when Roger was able to get his shot away after leaving Nacho for dead, but thankfully for the home side, goalkeeper Keylor Navas was on hand to tip the ball away.
Navas was called on once more shortly after a Gareth Bale half chance, with that man Roger again threatening from a few yards out.
Rafael Benitez' men would take the lead against the run of the play, however, when Ronaldo linked up with Marcelo, who fired the ball past Levante keeper Rubin in the 27th minute.
That opening goal turned into a crushing double blow three minutes later as Ronaldo drove the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
From that point on, Real always seemed to have the match comfortably under control.
Toni Kroos had a decent chance 10 minutes after the break, though his curling effort was saved.
Levante substitute Nabil Ghilas did have a chance to pull one back for his team, but his effort was well saved by Navas.
The home side's third would arrive nine minutes from time when Jese beat his marker and opted to take the shot himself instead of passing to an open Ronaldo. Thankfully for the young Spaniard, his shot went in at the near post.
Real nearly grabbed a fourth in the dying moments of the match through Casemiro, but his long range effort was stopped just before the final whistle blew.
