Stade Reims 0 - 1 Caen: Julien Feret's second-half strike earns Caen victory at Reims

Caen secured a third straight Ligue 1 win to maintain their impressive start to the season with a slender 1-0 victory at Reims.

Johnny Placide had to be alert in the Reims goal and denied both Alaedinne Yahia and Ronny Rodelin with smart reflex saves as Caen looked to grab a foothold in the game.

The hosts could have had a penalty when Damien da Silva appeared to bring down Franck Signorino, but referee Wilfried Bien waved play-on before Caen took full advantage of that let-off.

Andy Delort did all the hard work and, when faced with just Placide, he rolled the ball into the path of Julien Feret, who finished with ease to send Patrice Garande's side third in the table.
