Cowdenbeath vs Stenhousemuir : Cowdenbeath have Dean Brett back but Stenhousemuir face absentees

Cowdenbeath welcome back Dean Brett from suspension as they prepare to face visiting Stenhousemuir.

Brett is likely to come straight in to the side with Jack Beaumont (foot) and Lewis Milne (knee) ruled out and John Armstrong doubtful having picked up a knock in midweek.

Player-manager Colin Nish said: "We slipped into bottom spot when we lost to Ayr and we are determined to move off that position as soon as possible. We have done well in our last two home games where we have beaten Forfar and drawn with Peterhead.

"If we can show that form again we can win and pull to within a point of our visitors."

Stenhousemuir have Liam Henderson and Colin McMenamin available again after suspension, but Ciaran Summers (hamstring), Allan Smith (hip), Jon McShane (ankle) and Euan (hamstring) could miss out.

Manager Brown Ferguson has brought Falkirk striker Lewis Small on loan as he looks for the result that will open up a seven-point gap on their hosts.

Ferguson said: "If we can defend set pieces properly then we have a good chance of winning this game. We played well but lost to Peterhead last weekend 3-0 as we lost bad goals and if we can cut that out of our game then we can beat a competitive Cowdenbeath side."
