Ipswich vs Huddersfield Town : Ipswich welcome back Jonas Knudsen but suffer Ryan Fraser injury blow

Posted Friday, October 16, 2015 by PA

Ipswich are expected to have Danish defender Jonas Knudsen available again following illness for the Sky Bet Championship clash against Huddersfield at Portman Road.

However, on-loan Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Fraser faces at least two months out after sustaining a knee injury while away on international duty with Scotland Under-21s.

Midfielders Giles Coke (groin) and Teddy Bishop (shin) continue their rehabilitation.

Defender Luke Hyam is another on the comeback trail after knee surgery, with a return to training pencilled in for November.

Huddersfield striker James Vaughan could be included in the squad following a calf injury, which has restricted him to one appearance this season as a substitute in the home draw against Brighton in August.

Boss Chris Powell could also be boosted by the return of skipper Mark Hudson. The centre-half has missed the last five matches due to an ankle injury.

Joe Murphy has stepped up his training and hopes to be involved after a calf injury, but Jed Steer extended his loan spell from Aston Villa this week and is expected to resume in goal.

Powell has no new injury or suspension worries as Huddersfield chase their third win of the season.
