Schneiderlin: Things have changed

Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin accepts his first-team involvement at Old Trafford will be reduced compared to his time at Southampton.

Schneiderlin: Things have changed

The 25-year-old was a guaranteed starter under Saints boss Ronald Koeman last season and his performances did not go unnoticed as he went on to join the Red Devils in a £24 million switch in the off-season.

Schneiderlin has featured regularly for the Manchester outfit this term, but was an unused substitute in the shock 3-0 defeat to Arsenal ahead of the international break.

And, with United boasting a whole host of options in midfield, Schneiderlin understands he is by no means guaranteed to start every game this term.

"I have played a lot of matches. The coach made a lot of changes in attack and even in midfield and you have to get used to it," Schneiderlin told reporters.

"I used to play all the games with Southampton but things have changed. I happened to be on the bench, you have to take it philosophically."

The France international has made nine appearances in all competitions for United this season, bagging one goal in the process.
