The Reds will hold a press conference at 10am on tomorrow morning after Klopp signed the three-year contract tonight.
The German replaces Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked on Sunday following the Reds’ 1-1 draw with rivals Everton.
Klopp, 48, landed at John Lennon International Airport just after 5pm today on a private flight from Dortmund.
He was whisked away in a club car to a city centre hotel where he finalised the details of his contract and put pen to paper.
GAFFER: Jurgen Klopp has joined Liverpool
The ex-Borussia Dortmund boss had already started making changes at Anfield earlier in the day.
Sean O’Driscoll and Gary McAllister were told they would not be kept in their current roles at the club.
Assistant manager O'Driscoll was axed from the club, but McAllister has been offered another role at Anfield.
It is not believed to be a coaching role and if the former Reds midfielder declines then he will also depart Anfield.
First team development coach Pepijn Lijnders will stay.
AXED: Brendan Rodgers was sacked by Liverpool on Sunday
O’Driscoll and McAllister were appointed in the summer while Lijnders was promoted from the academy as part of a coaching shake up by Brendan Rodgers to revitalise the club.
But Klopp wants to bring in his own men with former Dortmund staff Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz set to join.
Head of performance Glen Driscoll and head of opposition analysis Chris Davies have also left Anfield.
Klopp’s first game in charge of the Reds will be away at Tottenham next Saturday, October 17.
