The Special One, 52, has come under immense pressure following the Blues' poor start to the new season.

Mourinho's men, who dominated the Premier League last year, have only recorded three victories in their first 10 games of the new campaign.

The west Londoners' poor form has prompted suggestions that the Chelsea hierarachy are preparing to axe the Portuguese - who penned a new four-year contract in Augsut.

However, the club have denied those claims and have insisted that they are fully behind the former Real Madrid chief.

VOTE OF CONFIDENCE: Chelsea have backed Mourinho

"The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support," the statement read.

"As Jose has said himself, results have not been good enough and the team's performances must improve."

"However, we believe that we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad with which to do it."

Mourinho, who is in his second spell at Stamford Bridge, has been disappointed by his team's failures on the pitch this season but believes their poor results are the consequence of an agenda against the Premier League champions.

FEELING THE HEAT: Mourinho's men have under performed this season

Speaking after the Londoners' 3-1 defeat to Southampton, he said: "We are in such a bad moment. We should not be afraid to be honest. The referees are afraid to give decisions for Chelsea."

"If the FA want to punish me then punish me but it's not a problem for me."

"Referees are afraid to give decisions to Chelsea."

"Clear penalties are not given to me because there's one and one and one."

STANDING TALL: Mourinho has refused to walk away from Chelsea

"Even in the Champions League, which is a game with not three officials but five, we are not given a penalty in the last minute."

The Special One is well aware of the speculation surrounding his future at the Bridge and has vowed to fight until the very end.

He added: "I am not running away. If the club wants to sack me, they have to sack me. I am more than convinced we will finish in top four."

"If they sack me they sack the best manager this club has had."
