Manchester United transfer news: Marcos Rojo set for exit, Anthony Martial rejected Chelsea, rivals join Lucas Biglia chase
Marcos Rojo could be on his way out

It was a terrible day for Manchester United yesterday as they were smashed by Arsenal at the Emirates and it’s clear that Louis van Gaal’s side are still in transition.

Just as well, then, that the January transfer window’s just around the corner so that the Dutchman can add to his squad.

The Red Devils look light in defence and attack, while the unfortunate injury to Luke Shaw means Van Gaal’s looking for cover at full-back.

After reportedly falling out with Louis van Gaal, it looks like Rojo’s heading for the exit door at Old Trafford.

The Argentine was a regular during his debut season at the club last term but he’s been overlooked for Daley Blind this campaign.

And reports say he’s set to join Russian outfit Zenit with Andre Villas Boas’ side set to lodge a bid.

Monaco’s vice-president revealed earlier this week that Martial had rejected a bigger offer to complete his dream transfer to Old Trafford on deadline day.

And it’s now been revealed that that unnamed club was Chelsea.

The 19-year-old became the most expensive teenager in the world when he signed for £36m and the fee would have been even more had he joined Jose Mourinho’s side.

The Red Devils were heavily interested in signing Lazio midfielder Biglia in the summer and Chelsea have now joined the race to sign the Argentine.

The midfielder’s agent has since admitted that an unnamed Premier League club were desperate to sign the 29-year-old.

And, after the Blues’ poor start to the season, reports say Mourinho’s side have edged ahead of the Red Devils in the race to sign the midfielder.
