Liam Sercombe scored twice as Oxford celebrated a 3-1 win over Accrington.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 21st minute when Kemar Roofe's cross was not cleared and Callum O'Dowda pounced to fire home his third goal of the season.
Stanley came close to an equaliser but Sean McConville's diving header was collected by goalkeeper Sam Slocombe, while right-back Liam Wakefield's 30-yard strike was narrowly over the crossbar.
O'Dowda and Sercombe were both denied in quick succession by Stanley goalkeeper Jason Mooney as they looked for a second.
However, Stanley levelled with a solo effort from Matt Crooks after 70 minutes when he curled the ball home from the edge of the box for his third goal in three games.
Stanley were then on top and Billy Kee had an effort cleared off the line and Josh Windass hit the crossbar.
They were made to pay in the 79th minute when Jordan Graham's cross was struck home by Sercombe from six yards. Then Wakefield fouled Roofe in the area three minutes from time and Sercombe blasted home from the spot to secure the three points.
