Stenhousemuir 2 - 2 Brechin City: Carlos Martinez rescues point for Stenhousemuir against Brechin
Posted Sunday, October 04, 2015 by PA
Stenhousemuir's Carlos Martinez scored with a minute remaining to earn his side a 2-2 home draw to Brechin in Scottish League One.
Brechin had the chance to take the lead after 20 minutes when Stenhousemuir goalkeeper Jamie Barclay conceded a penalty.
Barclay had fouled Robert Thompson, and was booked as well, but was able to parry Willie Dyer's spot-kick.
The home side made the most of that reprieve when Alan Cook got the opening goal as he shot into the bottom corner from a cross by Mark Gilhaney.
Brechin grabbed the lead with two goals in the space of four minutes, Andrew Jackson shooting in from close range after 71 minutes and David Weatherston adding the second four minutes later, only for Martinez's late intervention.
