Dunfermline 3 - 0 Albion Rovers FC: Dunfermline cruise to convincing win over Albion

Dunfermline cemented their place in the top two of Ladbrokes League One with a convincing 3-0 win at home to Albion.

The Wee Rovers made the early running, and Marc McAusland cleared an Andy Barrowman header off the line.

The home side settled themselves and in the 43rd minute Joe Cardle ended a spell of pressure by the Pars to beat Ross Stewart with a clinical finish.

Rhys McCabe doubled the lead midway through the second half with a speculative long-range effort from 30 yards that Stewart fumbled into his own goal.

Faissal El Bakhtaoui rounded off a successful afternoon when he side-footed in, thanks to some intricate build up play involving McCabe and David Hopkirk.
