Gillingham vs Oldham Athletic AFC - Justin Edinburgh set to keep faith with winning line-up to face Oldham

Justin Edinburgh is likely to keep faith with the same side against Oldham after his Gillingham side made an emphatic return to form during the week.

Ryan Jackson is a slight injury doubt however, after he was forced from the field early in the second half of the win over Fleetwood with a groin injury, while Deji Oshilaja and Ben Williamson are also nearing full fitness following lay-offs.

Rory Donnelly impressed Edinburgh in the win, hitting two goals in just his fourth start of the campaign and is likely to retain his place, despite the continued comeback of Cody McDonald, who will likely remain on the bench.

On-loan Jordan Houghton is another who took his opportunity against Fleetwood, and is likely to start again as the Gills look to climb into the top two of Sky Bet League Two.

Oldham interim boss David Dunn has challenged his current starting XI to nail down their place in his side at Priestfield.

The former England international has overseen three draws from his three games in charge and wants to see his team to play for their places as he searches for a first win as Latics manager.

"It was the last thing I said to them before they went out at Doncaster - 'remember, you've got the shirt'. There may have to be certain changes here and there, but if a player is doing well, working hard and having a positive impact on a game, he will stay in the team," he told the Oldham Evening Chronicle.

Dunn will still be without striker Jonathan Forte an on-loan Celtic defender Eoghan O'Connell who are absent with knee and thigh injuries, respectively.
