Reading vs Middlesbrough - Reading set to be without Stephen Quinn for Middlesbrough fixture

Reading are set to be without Stephen Quinn and Matej Vydra when they host Middlesbrough.

Midfielder Quinn and striker Vydra missed last weekend's 2-1 win at Burnley with knee injuries and boss Steve Clarke does not expect them to be fit in time.

Defender Anton Ferdinand is still sidelined with the thigh injury which has kept him out of the last four matches.

But Clarke is boosted by the return of forward Orlando Sa, who has completed a three-match ban following his red card against Derby earlier this month.

Aitor Karanka is unlikely to make many changes after Middlesbrough made it seven wins out of seven against Leeds last weekend.

Karanka has no fresh injury concerns after Sunday's 3-0 success, meaning he could give the same 11 the opportunity to make it a perfect eight.

David Nugent will continue to lead the line after netting three times in his last four outings, while midfielder Adam Clayton has been urged to continue his excellent form and guide Boro to promotion.

"He has to keep showing he is a Premier League (level) player because to be a Premier League player you have to play in the Premier League," said Karanka.
