Nottingham Forest vs Hull City - Matt Mills returns to Nottingham Forest squad to face Hull

Matt Mills will return to the Nottingham Forest squad for the home game against Hull.

Mills missed the draw at Huddersfield with a hamstring injury so Reds boss Dougie Freedman must decide whether to restore him to the starting line-up or retain Jack Hobbs in central defence.

Ben Osborn was also absent in west Yorkshire and the young midfielder continues to nurse a slight groin problem.

Andy Reid has not yet returned to full training following the latest setback with his groin problem while Freedman remains cautious over stepping up Chris Cohen's work on the training ground, as he looks to return from his latest serious knee injury.

Jake Livermore could be set for his first Championship start of the season after failing a drugs test earlier this year.

The midfielder avoided a ban, and after making his return to action for the Tigers ahead of schedule in the Capital One Cup last week, is in line to make a first league start.

Manager Steve Bruce could return to his favoured 3-5-2 formation, with the quartet of Tom Huddlestone, Mohamed Diame, Sam Clucas and Ahmed Elmohamady unlikely to be split up.

Shaun Maloney is pushing for further involvement having also failed to start a league game this campaign, while David Meyler is another midfield option. Michael Dawson returns to face his former club.
