Blackpool vs Chesterfield preview - Blackpool waiting on Tom Aldred ahead of Chesterfield's visit

Blackpool boss Neil McDonald is hoping to have defender Tom Aldred available for the home game against Chesterfield.

Aldred was forced out of the action towards the end of Saturday's defeat at Shrewsbury due to a head injury and will be monitored.

McDonald has no other injury concerns, while striker Martin Paterson and teenage midfielder Henry Cameron are pushing for recalls.

Midfielder Jarrett Rivers is working his way back following a hamstring strain and McDonald recently confirmed striker Nile Ranger, who returned to training last week after an almost 10-month absence without leave, has no future at the club.

Chesterfield have an unchanged squad but manager Dean Saunders may make changes to his starting line up.

Saunders saw his side lose to a goal four minutes into stoppage time against Burton on Saturday - the third home game in a row the Spireites have conceded after the 90-minute mark to drop points.

Rai Simons made his debut from the bench at the weekend and the Bermuda international could get his first start for the club at Bloomfield Road.

Fellow forwards Lee Novak (thigh) and Mani Dieseruvwe continue to miss out through injury and suspension respectively as the Spireites look to end a four-game run without victory.
