Bayer Leverkusen picked up their second win in a row with a dominant 3-0 victory at Werder Bremen lifting them into the top five on Saturday.
After Anthony Ujah had hit the post, Admir Mehmedi's deflected shot gave Leverkusen the lead on the half-hour mark.
Bremen nearly levelled through Giulio Donati, whose shot came back off the woodwork, and that proved to be the closest they came to scoring.
With Hakan Calhanoglu on the bench, Julian Brandt showed he is not too bad at free-kicks either as he curled an effort into the top left-hand corner, before a delightful lob from 20 yards from Kevin Kampl completed the scoring.
Stefan Kiessling also volleyed against the post for Roger Schmidt's Leverkusen, who picked up some confidence ahead of their trip to Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.
