Forfar Athletic vs Stranraer preview - Craig Smith set to be part of a much-changed Forfar side

Forfar youngster Craig Smith is in line for a start against visitors Stranraer.

Manager Dick Campbell looks set to carry out his threat to make changes after last weekend's 2-1 defeat from Cowdenbeath, while Mark Baxter and Derek Young are doubts.

Campbell said: "Last Saturday was nowhere near good enough as it looked like some boys thought that we just had to turn up to win. Our work rate was nowhere near where it should have been and we paid the price.

"I said there would be changes and there will be as we cannot afford a performance like that against a Stranraer side that have really good strikers."

Stranraer are missing only Scott Robertson, who has a knee injury.

They will be looking to improve on a run that has seen them win only once in their last six games.

Manager Brian Reid said: "Forfar are a good side who will be disappointed at losing last weekend so we have to be on our guard. We are going through a dry patch in front of goal and more worryingly we have a lost a bit of creativity from our game.

"We have been working on bringing that back and hopefully that will happen at Station Park. A win would get our season back on track but it will not be easy."
