Ayr Utd. vs Peterhead preview - No worries for leaders Ayr against Peterhead

League One leaders Ayr will be at full strength for the visit of Peterhead.

Manager Ian McCall has asked the Somerset Park fans to turn out in big numbers to back his side.

McCall said: "We are playing a side that have had inconsistent results but will be in the top four come the end of the season. We also now face a different pressure of leading from the front so it will be a tough afternoon for the players.

"The fans have been great with us so far this season and it would be terrific if even more of them could come out and help the team against difficult opposition."

Peterhead are without defender Scott Ross, who was dismissed in the 3-2 defeat to Brechin last weekend. Jordan Brown is set to return after injury, though.

Manager Jim McInally is hoping that his players get some rewards after a series of disappointing results.

McInally explained: "We have been playing good football and have deserved more from our last four games. We will stick with how we play the game as things will turn for us as soon as the individual mistakes we have been making are cut out of our play.

"We cannot make mistakes against Ayr as their quality will hurt us."
