Swindon vs Colchester United preview - Nathan Thompson sidelined again for Swindon against Colchester
Posted Friday, September 25, 2015 by PA
Swindon will be without captain Nathan Thompson for the visit of Colchester following a recurrence of his groin injury.
Thompson, who was out for almost a month after initially injuring his groin in the win at Southend on August 22, returned to the line-up for last weekend's defeat to Burton but appeared to be struggling towards the end of the game and could now face up to four weeks on the sidelines.
Jon Obika made his return as a substitute last week after returning from a foot problem and could be pushing for a start against the Us.
Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill is still struggling with a dead leg and if he is ruled out Jordan Turnbull will continue as a makeshift left-back.
Colchester have defender George Elokobi back available.
Elokobi returns to the matchday squad after sitting out last weekend's 2-1 win over Gillingham - a second successive victory for Tony Humes' men - as he served a one-game ban.
Striker Chris Porter, having trained all week, is in contention to make his comeback after his ankle troubles.
Defenders Richard Brindley (knee) and Alex Wynter (foot) remain sidelined.
