Carlisle vs Newport County preview - Selection poser for Keith Curle after cup exploits

Carlisle boss Keith Curle must decide how many of the side that took Liverpool to penalties can line up again against Newport.

The Cumbrians held their Premier League opponents for 120 minutes at Anfield on Wednesday but several were exhausted by their efforts.

Defenders Troy Archibald-Henville and David Atkinson and midfielder Angelo Balanta were all unused substitutes in the match and could come in, while the country's top scorer Jabo Ibehre will be hoping to return to the starting XI.

Striker Charlie Wyke (foot) is the club's only long-term injury and and is not yet ready to return.

Newport are expected to include two new signings in their squad for the long journey north.

Striker Tyler Blackwood has joined from QPR on a one-month loan deal while young defender Janoi Donacien has arrived on a similar agreement from Aston Villa, subject to international clearance.

The Exiles welcome back strikers Scott Boden and Lenell John-Lewis, the former missing last week's draw at Dagenham as his partner gave birth while the latter has shrugged off a calf injury.

Defender Matt Taylor returns to the squad for the first time this season after a serious hamstring injury.
