Fleetwood Town vs Port Vale preview - Richard Wood set for Fleetwood debut
Posted Friday, September 25, 2015 by PA
Injury concerns forced Fleetwood manager Graham Alexander to sign Rotherham's Richard Wood on an emergency loan this week.
The centre-back will go straight into the squad to face Port Vale in Sky Bet League One as Alexander looks to plug holes.
Conor McLaughlin and Danny Andrew are doubtful and a couple of other players are also carrying knocks.
Nathan Pond remains a long-term absentee as does striker Vamara Sanogo.
Vale boss Rob Page has the same group of players available as he did for the 1-0 loss at Bury last time out.
Midfielder Michael O'Connor and goalkeeper Chris Neal remain the only absentees as they continue to work their way back from knee and ankle injuries respectively.
The likes of Michael Brown and Sam Kelly could return to the first-team fold having both featured for the reserves this week.
The Valiants are looking to respond to back-to-back defeats, and three losses in their last four league games.
