Chesterfield vs Burton Albion FC preview - Drew Talbot set to return for Chesterfield against Burton
Posted Friday, September 25, 2015 by PA
Drew Talbot is back in contention after suspension for Chesterfield's home game against Burton.
Recent signing Chris Herd made his full debut in the defeat to Coventry last weekend in Talbot's absence and Blues boss Dean Saunders must decide which of the two to play at right-back on Saturday.
While Talbot returns from a ban, Mani Dieseruvwe begins one after his red card at the Ricoh Arena. Fellow striker Lee Novak is also likely to miss out against Burton with the knock that forced him off at Coventry.
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Herd, Sam Hird and Liam O'Neil will all be a week fitter having recently recovered from injuries.
Stuart Beavon, whose winning goal at Swindon propelled Burton to the top of the table last weekend, and Jerome Binnom-Williams should both be fit for the visitors.
Striker Beavon took a knock towards the end of the 1-0 victory in Wiltshire while defender Binnom-Williams had to be withdrawn during the first half against the Robins due to a throat infection.
Both players have trained this week so Albion boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink could name an unchanged team, but Abdenasser El Khayati and Tom Naylor are pushing for recalls.
Callum Reilly will hope to return to the bench after being overlooked against Rochdale and Swindon while Darius Charles and Zeli Ismail (knee) remain out injured, although Charles is nearing full fitness after his broken leg.
