Manchester United made £120million worth of transfer bids to sign Thomas Muller

Manchester United made two summer transfer bids for Thomas Muller worth a total of £120million, according to reports.
The German international, who is known to enjoy a strong relationship with Louis van Gaal, was heavily targeted by United over the course of the summer, but Bayern Munich refused to part with one of their star players.
And according to Bild, Bayern refused to sell despite United bidding £55m and then £65m for the 26-year-old.
Muller has started the 2015/16 in fine form, scoring six goals in his first six Bundesliga games for Bayern.
