Lyonnais 2 - 0 Bastia : Youngster Aldo Kalulu sets Lyon on way to a first home win of the season

Teenager Aldo Kalulu scored his first ever Ligue 1 goal as Lyon secured their first home win of the season with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Bastia.

The hosts had so far only managed a defeat to Rennes, sandwiched by draws against Lille and Lorient, at the Stade Gerland so a first maximum points haul came as welcome relief to boss Hubert Fournier.

The 19-year-old needed little more than quarter of an hour to make his mark on the game and he did it in some style, cleverly lifting the ball over Jean-Louis Leca after Steed Malbranque picked him out in the area.

Lyon continued to dominate possession but had little to shout about in front of goal before Bastia thought they had levelled in the 42nd minute.

Julian Pamlieri's delivery was met in the area by Floyad Ayite but, just as his header nestled in the net, the linesman's flag went up to deny the visitors an equaliser.

Their evening went from bad to worse moments later when Francois Kamano was shown a straight red card following an altercation with France international defender Samuel Umtiti.

As expected, Fournier's men dominated the second half, with Maxwell Cornet twice going close, but they had to wait until the latter stages to wrap up the points.

The lively Cornet found space on the left and his cutback was confidently despatched by Corentin Tolisso from 12 yards for his first goal of the season.
