Lorient 2 - 0 Caen : Lorient beat Caen for hat-trick of home wins

Posted Thursday, September 24, 2015 by PA

Lorient made it three Ligue 1 wins in a row with a 2-0 victory at home to Caen.

The hosts made the perfect start with less than a quarter of an hour on the clock when Maxime Barthelme's free-kick was bundled over the line by Benjamin Moukandjo.

Sylvain Ripoll's side doubled their tally as half-time approached after Didier Ndong's drilled 20-yard effort was superbly flicked beyond visiting goalkeeper Remy Vercoutre by Majeed Waris.

Caen thought they had fashioned a way back into the game midway through the second half but Ben Youssef's goal from Andy Delort's delivery was ruled out for offside and Lorient comfortably held on for the three points.
