Saint-Etienne 2 - 0 Nantes: Nothing can stop St Etienne beating Nantes

Posted Monday, September 21, 2015 by PA

St Etienne moved to within a point of Ligue 1 leaders Paris St Germain thanks to a comfortable 2-0 win over Nantes.

Jonathan Bamba's first goal for Les Verts set the hosts on their way after he beat Lorik Cana before finishing past Remy Riou.

Robert Beric wrapped up all three points when he gathered Vincent Pajot's long ball before leaving Riou beaten for the second time in the game.

The hosts looked keen to score again but Bamba saw a deflected shot finish up the wrong side of the post before Valentin Eysseric drew a smart save from Riou.
