Caen 2 - 1 Montpellier: Late Jeff Louis strike seals win for Caen

Posted Sunday, September 20, 2015 by PA

Jeff Louis' injury-time goal broke Montpellier hearts as Caen ran out 2-1 winners at the Stade Michel d'Ornano.

Ronny Rodelin got the hosts' evening off to a good start when his first-time volley flew past Jonathan Ligali - his first Ligue 1 goal since November 2013.

Stuttering Montpellier hit back and Jonas Martin levelled from the penalty spot on 32 minutes after Jordan Adeoti brought down Bryan Dabo.

With the final whistle looming, though, hopes of a second point of the season for the struggling visitors were dashed when Andy Delort's shot came back off the post and fell to Louis for a simple finish.
