Alloa Athletic 1 - 1 Falkirk: Ten-man Alloa fight back to claim draw with Falkirk

Alloa fought back with 10 men to snatch their first home point of the season in the Scottish Championship as Colin Hamilton's last-minute equaliser secured a 1-1 draw with Falkirk.

Defender Hamilton fired home into the bottom corner in the 90th minute to cancel out John Baird's second-half penalty for Falkirk, while the home side had defender Jason Marr sent off for a professional foul.

Alloa striker Michael Duffy crashed a shot against the crossbar in the 17th minute and the same player headed narrowly wide as half-time approached.

But Baird and Craig Sibbald both tested Alloa goalkeeper David Crawford early in the second period and then Marr was shown a straight red card for hauling down Lee Miller in the box.

Baird converted the subsequent penalty in the 68th minute, but 10-man Alloa hit back and Hamilton rescued a point for his side in the final minute with an emphatic finish from inside the area.
