Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed that skipper Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge could return to action against Norwich on Sunday.
Henderson has been sidelined since the win over Bournemouth in the second game of the season with a foot problem, while Sturridge has been out since March with a hip injury.
The Reds captain travelled to the United States to receive injections in his heel and returned to training on Friday.
Sturridge, meanwhile, has been building up his fitness after joining the squad at Melwood last week and Rodgers says there is a chance both could be involved at the weekend.
"Jordan will train today so we'll see how he comes through that - he has obviously been away and had some work done on his foot, so hopefully all will be well with that but we'll assess it over the next 48 hours," Rodgers said in his pre-match press conference.
"Daniel has been training with the team now for a week or so and again we will assess that in relation to the game."
