Airdrie United vs Ayr Utd. preview - Airdrie welcome Jordan Morton back for Ayr visit

Airdrie look for their fifth win in a row when Ayr United come calling with the Diamonds welcoming Jordan Morton back after injury.

Jim Lister continues to be absent through a groin problem with manager Gary Bollan saying: "We performed well last week to win at Albion Rovers in what was a typical derby match.

"We will need a similar type of performance against an Ayr side that will no doubt be well organised by Ian McCall and who will be fired up after winning at Dunfermline last weekend.

"We have gone about our business quietly and effectively and we will look to continue with that approach in this game."

Ayr midfielder Jamie Adams has shaken off an ankle injury to take his place in a full Somerset Park squad.

Manager Ian McCall is looking for his Honest Men to build on their 2-0 success at Dunfermline as he explained: "We played well, especially in the first half when our passing game was terrific, at a tough venue and deserved our win.

"We will need a similar level to defeat an Airdrie side that are building a bit of momentum. I watched them recently defeat Cowdenbeath and they dug out a win that day from a losing position so they will be tough opponents."
