Hull City vs Queens Park Rangers preview - Chuba Akpom and Ahmed Elmohamady seek recalls for Hull against QPR

Hull manager Steve Bruce has decisions to make over formation and personnel for Saturday's visit of QPR.

The Tigers reverted to a back three against Cardiff in midweek and left with a 2-0 win, but Bruce has to choose whether to use the system at the KC Stadium too.

Ahmed Elmohamady was dropped after 100 consecutive starts in that match, Bruce saying the Egyptian "had his head turned" by transfer speculation, but will be vying for a recall.

Arsenal loanee Chuba Akpom is also hoping to graduate from the bench but Abel Hernandez appears safe after scoring for the third time in six matches in Wales.

QPR manager Chris Ramsey must decide whether or not to recall Robert Green after the goalkeeper served a one-match suspension in Wednesday's 2-2 home draw with Blackburn.

Alex Smithies made his full league debut in his absence, in what was the only change from the team that had lost 2-1 at home to Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

Midfielder Alejandro Faurlin is also in contention for a recall, having sat on the bench in midweek after recovering from a knee problem.

Ramsey also remains without Leroy Fer, Yun Suk-young and Sandro, who are long-term absentees.
