Hartlepool United FC vs Cambridge United preview - Hartlepool striker Billy Paynter to have fitness test ahead of Cambridge clash
Posted Friday, September 18, 2015 by PA
Striker Billy Paynter faces a late fitness test ahead of Hartlepool's clash with Cambridge as he looks to overcome a hamstring problem.
Jake Carroll was pushed into an attacking role at Exeter last weekend and he is likely to revert to a more familiar left-back role if Paynter is passed fit.
Defender Harry Worley is a doubt with a knee injury sustained playing for the reserves in midweek, while Carl Magnay serves the second game of a three-match suspension.
Brad Halliday is expected to make his home debut after arriving on loan from Middlesbrough, with Michael Duckworth (hamstring) and Jordan Richards (back) still out.
Cambridge are likely to be without leading scorer Barry Corr.
The 30-year-old has scored five goals in four games this season but he suffered a thigh problem in the warm-up ahead of last week's game with Leyton Orient and is again a doubt.
Jordan Chiedozie has returned from a long spell at Braintree and could feature.
Harrison Dunk returns to the squad after suspension.
