St. Mirren 1 - 2 Raith Rovers: Grant Anderson grabs a late winner for Raith

Grant Anderson grabbed an 87th-minute winner for Raith as St Mirren continued their poor start to the Scottish Championship season.

Anderson fired home from close range to seal a 2-1 win for the visitors which proved enough to lift them up to third place in the fledgling league table.

Raith made an impressive start with James Craigen firing his side in front with just 12 minutes on the clock when he lashed home from outside the box.

St Mirren's hopes of turning their early-season fortunes around improved on the stroke of half-time when Lawrence Shankland knocked in their equaliser.

But the hosts' hopes were dashed at the death when Anderson netted to boost Raith's hopes of keeping in touch with the division's top two.
